Espace Musée Oné Onti Max Gros-Louis
The Espace Musée Oné Onti Max Gros-Louis, located in Wendake, celebrates the life and legacy of Grand Chief Max Gros-Louis (1931–2020) — a visionary leader and defender of Indigenous rights. The museum is dedicated to preserving, documenting, and sharing the cultural and historical heritage of the Huron-Wendat Nation and other First Nations.
Through exhibitions, archives, photographs, oral histories, and community programming, the museum connects visitors with Wendake, Indigenous leadership, and the living cultural legacy carried by the Max Gros-Louis collection.
For travelers planning what to do near Quebec City, Wendake offers a close cultural stop where the story of Max Gros-Louis, Huron-Wendat heritage, and Indigenous memory can anchor a broader visit to the region.
